What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of care where patients contract directly with medical providers (instead of with an insurance company who contracts with the medical provider) at a low monthly fee. Because there is no middle-man, overhead is lower and patients can enjoy increased access to and time with their physician which leads to care which is more personalized with lower costs. We like to say it's like having a gym membership to your doctor - it's free to visit but some extra services come with a small fee.
